Where the bottleneck went

The 2001 manifesto solved the 2001 problem: delivery was slow and expensive. Cloud, CI/CD and AI code generation now build a feature in hours, and the constraint moved to deciding what gets built, which the manifesto says very little about.

I think the principles hold at the new speed (short feedback loops, teams that organise themselves), while ceremonies designed for a two-week cadence do not. The caveat I carry: without engineering discipline, faster delivery mostly produces defects faster. I work on operating models for organisations where AI does a growing share of the building.
